3. Melt Spinning

4. Drawing and Texturing
After solidification, the fibres undergo drawing, or stretching, to several times their original length. This step aligns the molecular chains, significantly enhancing the fibres’ strength and durability.
Then comes texturing or crimping, where the fibres are twisted or given a slight wave to add bulk and a more natural, less glossy appearance, which is ideal for weaving or knitting.
Finally, the fibres are used either as filament yarns (continuous strands for ropes or carpets) or cut into staple fibres. They can be spun into yarns similar to cotton or wool.
